ALT Receives Grants That Support Its Mission

Middletown, R.I. (January 6, 2016) – Aquidneck Land Trust (“ALT”) is pleased to announce that it received two grants as 2015 came to a close.  A $75,000 grant from the van Beuren Charitable Foundation will support a strategic planning initiative to be undertaken in early 2016 and help support the Land Trust’s operations in its mission to preserve open space for the benefit of our entire community.  “We anticipate the initiative will help guide the organization’s board level planning and direction for the next three years,” commented Chuck Allot, ALT’s executive director.

The other grant, from the Betty Byrne de Zahara 1997 Charitable Trust, will be added to the permanent stewardship fund and help support perpetual conservation of a parcel of land located in Middletown.  ALT is extremely appreciative of the funding it receives from foundations, corporate sponsors, trusts, and individual donors alike. Without this broad based support, we would not be able to engage in the important work we do.
