butternuts, as we will learn the history behind this
gorgeous, historic parcel.

Anthony Farm - Saturday September 25th,
2010
Come for a tour of Anthony Farm, ALT’s first conserved property in
Portsmouth. This farm, which is home to many of the ponies that appear
in the weekly polo tournaments held at The Glen, is using best practices
to minimize runoff and to protect this landscape for the generations to
come. Polo, which has been played since the 5th century BC, depends on
the speed, stamina and agility of the ponies. While we are there, we will see a demonstration of the training and breeding techniques used to develop these remarkable animals.

founder of the Newport International Polo Series. We will be meeting
