Walk & Talks
ALT Walk & Talks are free events held throughout the spring, summer, and fall. They are appropriate for nature lovers of all ages and cover a variety of topics. They are held on ALT-conserved land across the island – join us when you can!
Our first Walk & Talk of 2022 will be held on Saturday, May 7, at Little Creek Preserve in Portsmouth. We will meet at the trail kiosk at 9:00 am and begin our Wildlife Walk with Dr. Peter Paton.
Dr. Paton is a professor at the University of Rhode Island whose research focuses on the conservation of birds and amphibians. Together, we will search for the different wildlife that inhabit Little Creek Preserve and learn more about them and their habitat. Binoculars are encouraged to bring for birding. This is a free event but registration is required.
