Please join us at Little Creek Preserve on May 7 at 9:00 a.m. for our first Walk & Talk of the year! This free walk will be led by Dr. Peter Paton, a professor at the University of Rhode Island whose research focuses on the conservation of birds and amphibians. Together, we will search for the different wildlife that inhabit Little Creek Preserve and learn more about them and their habitat. Space is limited; please register here. Please park on Malee Terrace, across the street from Little Creek Preserve.
Dr. Paton is the Chair of the Department of Natural Resources Science at URI. His research focuses on the conservation of vertebrate populations, with an emphasis on birds and amphibians. He is particularly interested in the impact of urbanization on vertebrates in New England.
