We are pleased to offer a new class on birds, taught by professional ornithologist and ALT board member Dr. Charles Clarkson. There will be four Skype lectures supplemented with two bird walks on Aquidneck Island (dates for bird walks subject to change due to coronavirus restrictions). Lectures will be all new material and no previous bird knowledge is required. For Part III, we will focus on bird anatomy, physiology, evolution and behavior. Registrants will receive information on how to access the class via Skype, on their computers.
If you love watching birds or simply want to know more about our feathered friends, this class will provide you with a tremendous amount of useful information. Bird walks will focus on discussing how birds make a living and their role in the environment. Please note: this class will be held April 7, 15, 21, and 28. (Please note that the second class is a Wednesday; the others are on Tuesday.) There will also be two Saturday morning ‘field trip’ walks (April 18 and May 9, subject to change.)
